The 10^th Shanghai International

Poetry Festival will be held in China in November 2025

The Shanghai International Poetry Festival invites poets from all over the world to offer beautiful poetry, eulogize the common ideals of mankind, and show the diversity and creativity of poetry in a colourful style.

As the only international large-scale poetry and literature creation exchange event in Shanghai, the annual Festival strives to promote and initiate foreign cultural communication and cultural exchanges.

The Shanghai International Poetry Festival aimis to use poetry as a bridge, open up channels for international literary exchanges, and spread the cultural spirit of “harmony but difference” that Chinese culture has always advocated, so that the world can understand China more widely and truly.Last year, an Australian writer from Western Australia, Ms. Rose Von Son was invited to attend the Shanghai International Poetry Festival. She was recommended by ACFS WA member, Roz Hanley. Rose was delighted by the experience.

The main organisers of this poetry festival are the Shanghai People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, and the the Shanghai Writers Association.

Author Lisa Collyer, a writer and educator based in Boorloo (Perth, Western Australia) has been recommended by the ACFS WA branch as Australia’s representative to attend the 10th International Poetry Festival in Shanghai, China in late November, 2025.
