The 10^th Shanghai International Poetry Festival is planned to be held in November 2025.

Shanghai International Poetry Festival is currently the only international cultural festival in Shanghai with poetry as its theme, and has achieved remarkable results internationally.

Up to now, Shanghai had held eight international poetry festivals in total, inviting nearly a hundred foreign and famous domestic poets from the five continents of the world.

The poetry festival is designed with diverse cultural concepts and forms from multiple perspectives and levels, featuring renowned poets and stars, as well as the full participation of Shanghai citizens. Poetry recitation and discussions are held in various venues such as libraries, cultural centers, universities, parks, communities, etc. It has received widespread praise not only in this city, but also domestically and internationally, causing a significant impact and continuing to generate a chain effect.

The Shanghai International Poetry Festival has established the “Golden Magnolia” Award, which has been awarded to Syrian poet Adonis, Nigerian poet Wole Soyinka, and others, attracting attention and praise both domestically and internationally.

The Shanghai International Poetry Festival showcases the cultural charm and vitality of Shanghai and China, and is becoming a new Shanghai cultural brand.
